The AI Rewrite Testcase tool improves the wording of your test case steps in bulk. You pick a rewrite mode and a variation style, preview the suggested results step by step, and apply changes individually or all at once.
This tool is available when editing a test case in Multiple or Single step mode. Open it with the Rewrite Entire Testcase button next to the step mode controls.
- The tool rewrites all manual steps at once.
- Shared steps are skipped automatically and are not modified.
- The modal shows a count of Manual steps that will be processed and Ignored shared steps that are skipped.
Rewrite Mode
Section titled “Rewrite Mode”Choose how the steps should be transformed:
- Rewrite: rephrase the steps while keeping their meaning.
- Concise: shorten the wording.
- Expand: add more detail.
- Proofread: correct grammar and wording.
Variation
Section titled “Variation”Each mode offers variation styles to fine-tune the result:
- Rewrite: Clear and professional, Concise, Detailed and descriptive, Formal and technical.
- Concise: Extremely short, Balanced concise, Bullet points.
- Expand: Add more detail, Explain with clarity, Elaborate with examples.
- Proofread: Fix grammar only, Improve grammar and flow.
The preview refreshes automatically when you change the mode or variation.
Preview
Section titled “Preview”- Clean view: shows the rewritten text as it will appear.
- Show changes: highlights the differences between the original and the rewrite.
Each step is shown with its description and expected output, including Before and After content so you can compare.
Applying changes
Section titled “Applying changes”- Apply This Step: applies the rewrite to a single step. Once applied, the button shows Applied.
- Apply All Changes: applies the rewrite to every previewed step at once.
