What Gets Removed
Section titled “What Gets Removed”Deleting a defect removes it from every view — the defect list, boards, search, traceability and reports. It stops appearing anywhere in the product, and its comments, attachments and history go with it.
The audit log records who deleted the defect and when.
Deleted defects can’t be restored. There is no trash or undo for defects.
What Is Not Deleted
Section titled “What Is Not Deleted”Deleting a defect does not delete:
- Test cases
- Requirements
- Releases
- Executions
- Test runs
- External issues
- Project data created outside the defect
External issues may still exist in the connected tool even after the Hawzu defect is deleted.
Before Deleting
Section titled “Before Deleting”Before deleting, consider whether you should instead:
- Close the defect with a resolution
- Link it as a duplicate
- Unlink incorrect traceability
- Update the title or description
